DCN
Prepare DCN devices for QUARK Config Backup.
This guide covers DCN (Digital China Networks) switches and routers running the DCN operating system.
Create a backup account
Create a dedicated account named netwatch-backup. The DCN CLI follows an IOS-like model: displaying the running configuration requires privileged (admin) access, so create the account at administrator level, or use a lower-level login and supply the enable password to QUARK.
Enable SSH access
Enable the SSH server on the device and verify the collector can reach the management IP on TCP port 22. If the platform is configured with management access lists on its VTY lines, permit the collector's IP address.
Platform notes
- QUARK issues show commands only; the account never needs configuration rights.
- Older models may ship with Telnet only — enable SSH where the firmware supports it, and keep Telnet-only devices on a protected management network.
Enable backup in Netwatch
Once the device is prepared, open its host in Netwatch (Data collection > Hosts) and add the Config Backup macros — the supported status flag, the model code for this platform, and the credentials you created. See Getting started for the full macro list and values.
