Siklu
Prepare Siklu devices for QUARK Config Backup.
This guide covers Siklu millimeter-wave radios in the EtherHaul and MultiHaul TG families.
EtherHaul
EtherHaul point-to-point radios expose a text CLI over SSH.
Backup account. Create a local user named netwatch-backup from the radio's web UI or CLI user management. EtherHaul supports several user types; choose a type that can display the full configuration — if the read-only type on your software release cannot, use the admin type. QUARK only reads the configuration either way.
SSH access. SSH is the standard management method for the CLI and is normally available out of the box; confirm the radio's management IP is reachable from the QUARK collector on TCP port 22. Restrict management reachability to the collector's IP at your network edge or with the radio's management access settings where the release supports them.
Notes. Back up both ends of a link as separate devices — each radio holds its own configuration.
MultiHaul TG
MultiHaul TG mesh radios are primarily managed through their web interface, with a CLI available for maintenance.
Backup account. Create an additional local user named netwatch-backup in the radio's web UI user settings with rights sufficient to view the full configuration; use an administrator-level account if a read-only level is not offered on your release.
SSH access. Enable SSH in the system or management settings if it is not already active, and verify the collector can reach the unit's management IP. Limit that reachability to the collector's IP address in your network firewalls.
Notes. In a TG mesh, back up each node individually via its own management address; the distribution node's configuration does not include client nodes' settings.
Enable backup in Netwatch
Once the device is prepared, open its host in Netwatch (Data collection > Hosts) and add the Config Backup macros — the supported status flag, the model code for this platform, and the credentials you created. See Getting started for the full macro list and values.
