Yadro

Prepare Yadro devices for QUARK Config Backup.

This guide covers Yadro network switches running KornfeldOS.

Create a backup account

Create a dedicated local user — for example netwatch-backup — through the switch's user management. Assign a read-only or operator role if your KornfeldOS release provides one that can display the complete running configuration; otherwise assign the administrative role. QUARK only runs show commands and never modifies the switch.

Enable SSH access

SSH is the standard management transport on this platform and is typically enabled on the management interface. Confirm the SSH service is running and reachable from the Netwatch collector on TCP port 22. Where your release supports management ACLs or control-plane filtering, restrict SSH to the collector's IP; otherwise apply an ACL upstream of the management network.

Platform notes

  • Role capabilities differ between KornfeldOS releases — log in as the backup account once and confirm the full running configuration is displayed without truncation or permission errors before adding the device.
  • If the account cannot display the configuration with a read-only role, raise it to the administrative role; QUARK remains read-only regardless of the account's rights.

Enable backup in Netwatch

Once the device is prepared, open its host in Netwatch (Data collection > Hosts) and add the Config Backup macros — the supported status flag, the model code for this platform, and the credentials you created. See Getting started for the full macro list and values.
